EV Charger Installation
Level 2 home charging stations installed by licensed Michigan electricians. Charge overnight, drive all day.
Home EV Charger Installation Done Right
Michigan’s electric vehicle adoption is accelerating, and a Level 2 home charger is the most convenient and cost-effective way to keep your EV topped off. A standard 120-volt outlet adds roughly 4 miles of range per hour — a Level 2 charger on a 240-volt circuit delivers 25 to 50 miles per hour, fully charging most EVs overnight. FastFix Electrical installs home EV charging stations for every make and model, from Tesla to Chevy to Ford.
Level 2 Charger Installation
We install all major Level 2 EVSE units including the Tesla Wall Connector, ChargePoint Home Flex, Grizzl-E, JuiceBox, and Emporia. Each installation includes a dedicated 240-volt circuit from your panel, the correct NEMA outlet or hardwired connection, and proper mounting. We size the circuit breaker and wire gauge to match your charger’s amperage — typically 40A or 50A for fastest charging speeds.
Panel Capacity Assessment
Before installing a 40-amp or 50-amp EV circuit, we assess your panel’s available capacity. If your panel is full or undersized, we’ll discuss options: a panel upgrade to 200 amps, a sub-panel in the garage, or a smart load-management device that shares capacity with existing circuits. We find the best solution for your home and budget.
Indoor & Outdoor Mounting
Whether your charger mounts inside the garage wall or on an exterior surface near the driveway, we install it with proper weatherproof enclosures, conduit protection, and secure mounting. Outdoor installations use NEMA 4X-rated enclosures and in-use weatherproof covers to withstand Michigan’s rain, snow, and temperature extremes.
Permit & Rebate Assistance
We pull the electrical permit and schedule the municipal inspection for every EV charger installation. We also help you identify available rebates and tax credits — the federal EV charger tax credit covers 30% of equipment and installation costs up to $1,000 for residential installations, and some Michigan utilities offer additional incentives.
